Protection Through The Blood

by Pastor Benny Hinn

Hyssop is a plant that is still grown throughout the Middle East today and is symbolic of faith and purity in the Word of God.

David prayed to God:

“Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow” (Psalm 51:7).

The children of Israel were commanded to take a branch of hyssop, and by faith, to apply the blood on the lintel and two side posts of their houses.

And so today our protection as believers is found only under the blood, through faith, for only under the precious blood of Christ Jesus are we free and safe from the enemy.

Hebrews 9:14-15 declares that because of the blood and the work of the Cross, we who are called will receive the promise of eternal inheritance, which includes our protection.

Why then are so many dear believers still worry and fret about their lives?

Andrew Murray answers this question in his book, Secrets of Authority. He says, “The shedding of His blood was the proof on His unspeakable love toward us. Jesus “gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people” (Titus 2:14). His blood is the power by which He takes possession of us for Himself, to sanctify us. All that is necessary for more powerful operation of the blood in us is that faith in it should become wider, brighter, and stronger. He who longs for such a full faith will find it only, but find it certainly, in fellowship with Jesus. It is His work to impart the blood; it is His work also to increase faith. Let there be an undivided surrender to the Lord Jesus, the sacrifice of the self-life, in order to walk with Him; in that walk unbelief will wither.”

Because of the precious blood of Jesus we are covered. As you look to God to increase your faith today, He will impart mighty revelation of the power in His blood to your spirit. You can trust Him with all of your cares and your whole life today.

“Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” (Hebrews 13:20-21).
