The Work of Your Hands Will Prosper

Let me remind you that you qualify for supernatural blessings! How is that? Scripture promises that these blessings are for those who obey the law of God:

And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. (Deuteronomy 28:1-2)

The second you receive Christ Jesus, you obey the law of God, because in Him the law is fulfilled. So as a Christian, you qualify for the blessing of Deuteronomy 28 to overtake you. You will wake up one morning and be overtaken by a blessing from heaven! God will attack you with prosperity.

Overtake in Deuteronomy 28:2 means “to overpower.” In Hebrew, it gives the idea of two people running. Overtake means that the person behind you is coming after you with greater speed. You are running and the blessings are running after you. You are literally overwhelmed by these blessings!

These are supernatural blessings. They are moving at a higher speed than you can run. They are targeted specifically for you. That is what it means when the Bible says that these blessings will overtake you!

That is literally what happened to Isaac. He could not stop the blessings of God. The famine could not stop the blessings of God. King Abimelech could not stop the blessings of God. The dead land could not stop the blessings of God. His neighbors could not stop the blessings of God. He was supernaturally overtaken with blessings! To everyone’s amazement, the land that was dead came back to life. God resurrected the land, just as He is about to resurrect your land!

Isaac stepped out in faith. Nobody was sowing seed anywhere around him. His neighbors probably said, “He’s mad! Why is he sowing seed when the land is dead?” He did so because God said, “I am with you. I will bless you”:

“The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee” (Deuteronomy 28:8).

All! In other words, everything you put your hands on is going to prosper!
